The weekend of July 27, 2001, I'll be participating in a very special and powerful event in the fight against breast cancer. It's called the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day and I'd like to tell you about it.

I'll walk 60 miles from San Jose to San Francisco with more than 3,000 other courageous people to raise money for breast cancer and other diseases that affect women. The net proceeds from the event will support non-profit breast health programs in every region of the country, and medical research on breast cancer.

I've agreed to raise $1,900 in pledges before June 29th! My personal goal is to raise $3,000!

You might be asking yourself why I have agreed to walk so far and raise so much money, well it started out as a way to get into shape and raise money for a good cause. Now it is personal... Someone close to me was just diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. I know she will beat this horrible disease because she is a very strong woman! But NO woman should have to fight that fight. That is why I am asking all of you to reach down deep into your hearts and wallets (or purses) to support me in this GREAT cause.
